There was only one funny thing that happened through the course of N’s broken arm episode last week.
When we were initially in the pediatrician’s office on Monday, she sent us to get x-rays and then viewed them with us once we were back in her office. After the x-ray trauma which was of course, very painful and worse because I couldn’t be there with him because of the pregnancy, N was pretty much comatose in my arms. He had his head against my chest and we had no idea he was listening.
The pediatrician said, “Hmmm. I think there’s a problem but I can’t read this. I need to go consult the radiologists.”
N suddenly shot up, wide awake and offended to say, ”You mean you can’t even read?!”
